Umera Ahmad was born on 10 December in Sialkot. She pursued her Master`s in English Literature from Murray College, Sialkot. Her career started as an English lecturer at Army Public College, Sialkot. Nonetheless, she quitted her job to dedicate her full heed to her writing career in the Urdu language. She started her career in writing in when she was 22 years old for monthly Urdu digest. Her first published story for the monthly Urdu digest was ZINDAGI GULZAR HAI which became popular among the people. Afterward, she was been requisitioned to write full-length work Zindagi Gulzarhai was then turned into a serial that was aired on Hum TV in According to one interview of hers she stated that the female lead of her novel `Zindagi GulazarHai `based on her character.

Umaira Ahmed (born December 10, , Sialkot, Pakistan) and is a Popular fiction Urdu novelist and screenplay writer based in Sialkot who is mostly popular for writing Peer-e-Kamil (پیر کامل).
Biography
Umaira Ahmed first published her stories in monthly Urdu digests such as Khawateen Digest (خواتین ڈاجسٹ) and Shuaa (شعاع). Her stories are published in episodic format every month in various digests and are eventually released as separate novels. Her novels Man-o-Salwa, Lahasil, Amar Bail, Husna Aur Husn Ara, Meri Zaat Zarai benishan, Mai Ne Khawabon Ka Shajar Dekha Hai, Muthi Bhar Matti, Libas, Darbar-e-Dil, Thora sa Aasman and Sauda have been adapted for television.
Umera Ahmed was a great english language lecturer at Army Public College Sialkot. She taught for quite some years but quit teaching a few years ago for giving full attention to her novels. She is till date remembered in the College for great teaching services.
She has authored 16 books comprising novels, compilations of short stories, and plays. her novels are outstanding and really different.
