When fans heard that Netflix was bringing us (and, more importantly, the original cast of Gilmore Girls) back to Stars Hollow, one of the first and most persistent questions was about Rory Gilmore's love life. Stars Hollow sweetheart Rory Gilmore is the epitome of book worm. Never seen without a paperback in hand, her quiet intelligence won the hearts of many when Gilmore Girls first aired 20 (!!) years ago. She left teenagers across the country idolising her quirky sense of humour and lusting after her never-ending rotation of classic novels.

Wim Botha
Wim Botha (b) is a leading South African contemporary artist best-known for his sculptural works. He graduated with a degree in visual art from the University of Pretoria in A defining feature of Botha’s practice is the diverse and often unconventional media he employs – from carved books, marble, bronze, and wood, to oil paint and ink. Gilmore Girls is my favorite TV series ever. Because I’m deeply entrenched in the Gilmore Girls corner of social media, I’ve noticed that many fans actually hate Rory Gilmore - the main character of the show (ironic, right?). Rory makes a lot of, well, questionable decisions throughout the series. Although it is often hard not to scream at my TV when Rory does something stupid, I actually appreciate her character flaws.
